To discover the meaning of life and its fruits we must put aside all material wants: homes, cars, status, promotions, country clubs; money. These are faulty desires, which when dwelled upon and indulged in, can mean surefire ruin, in this life or the next, assuredly.
However, when one acts on the pure yearning for God that inhabits our soul from our creation at birth, there is comfort and satisfaction. This is present to us in a glorious warmth of caritas that envelops our souls. We are inhabited by God’s pure love, it dwells within us.
God is so pleased when we turn toward him and say yes to his love that he mysteriously showers us with all the things we need to be happy. Yes, sometimes he grants us material things that he must deem necessary to fulfill the divine plan for us in His world.
We are showered in His grace when we see that God will provide everything that we need. Most times this is not everything we want.
Sometimes we are broken over our inadequacy to construct of an imaginary life that would please all, including God. But He only wants us to say yes to His love, and to love him in return, and charity to our brothers and sisters, to be Christ-like. Our omnipotent God asks:
Love me, only me, and I will give you everything, even ever lasting life in paradise.
Work at it and you will begin to truly understand me and my mystery.
Master it and I will show you the kingdom that awaits, you will experience it with your own senses.
But you must act first, because I have already acted eternally and offer the ultimate sacrifice for you, my son, Jesus Christ. You need only to fall into the glorious reality that already exists for you with me.
