I was lucky enough to be a few feet away and I will offer my reflection.
In 1990, I was also lucky enough to be a few feet away from JPII at the Vatican.
For now, just a short note on my summer assignment. I am tasked to conduct a research study on trends of priestly vocations in the United States. More to follow, but there is real positive development. Vocations are up in many dioceses of the US, and there is a direct tie to the Holy Fathers, John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Early indications are to a "sea change", a sustainable and significant growth in the call to religious.
So if you are a man who feels called to serving God and His people. Consider it.
If you are a women than consider a call to the consecrated religious life-- www.sistersoflife.org
Is a great one here in metro NY (and Canada) as well as http://www.franciscansisterscfr.com/
For men who would consider consecrated life as a religious see www.franciscanfriar.com
